Stress Busting Yoga for Students

The aim of this course is to give you a start to developing, or to continuing, a yoga practice that helps reduce your daily student-life stress. The course will give you some tools that you can take away for your own personal practice and use. Even using one of the tools for approx. 15 minutes a day will have a positive effect and give benefits.

You do not need to ever have done yoga before. All you need is to show up wearing clothes you can move in, with a yoga mat, and a small towel or piece of clothing you can fold to sit on. Yoga is practiced with bare feet, but a pair of socks for part of the session can be a good idea.

Each class has a different focus, but each will include 3 basic ‘tools’:

·        Breathing and grounding

·        A physical practice of asanas (poses)

·        Restorative poses for combating restlessness and insomnia

 

Everyone is welcome – with or without previous yoga experience.

Shelley is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher, with additional training in Restorative and Yin Yoga. She has taught in Mexico and Denmark, holding courses for students, seniors, beginners and practitioners. She strives to teach in an inclusive way that makes practicing yoga your own personal practice – even in a group setting.
